To make up for lost time I will add something here to. Today my brother found me sitting on our couch, knees up, with my pants and underwear around my ankles. The only reason this would be odd is that usually I take them completely off and with colder weather he has not seen me naked or partially so.
He asked me what the occasion was for me to be dressed like I was. I told him the truth. I had a really bad itch on the back of my leg and scratching my pants did nothing to relieve it. OK, that explains removing the pants but.....why the rest? I don't know, they went with the pants. Odd thing was my hands and arms felt a little cool but from the waist down I was not cold at all.

The front door unlocks and opens and in walks my brother. No big deal until I here is voice. WRONG BROTHER!! It was my oldest brother who came in not the brother I live with. He had come from work to pickup something he needed for the next day, a tool kit. He works really late hours so gets to his own home around midnight most nights.
So when I realize it is NOT who I thought I am all GAAAHAAHAHHA!!!! I jump up and grab the cats blanket and quickly through it over my lap as I land sitting trying to act natural. In case you were wondering, no the cat was not using it at the time otherwise she would have gone flying when I grabbed it.
He said hi and I said hi and asked where the tool kit was. He had called earlier in the day asking to borrow it so it was waiting near the door. I knew he or his wife would be picking it up but I did not expect him to show up at midnight, even though it does make some sense to do it that way. He then said bye and I said bye and he left.
A close call. He knows I sometimes walk around the house in my underwear when no one is home but I would have had a hard time explaining why I was bottomless.

Reading RWB's statement, I was reminded of my own situation: I haven't even been able to tell people in my family that e.g. I sleep nude.
Kind of sad, isn't it? I can understand how some people don't accept nudism (and would be shocked to learn that someone they know participates in it); but people should at least accept the fact that some people are more comfortable being naked when they're alone. |

It is sad. I'm sure that in part it has been stereotyped by the previous generations (nudist camps, etc) such that it has a very negative connotation. That is, perhaps, the only redeeming value I see in the naked bike rides, runs, etc., whereby the general public sees nudity in all its glorious detail (I suppose to help break the myth). But I don't like "forcing" my preferences down someone else's throat - and that I believe is what those exhibitionists are more or less doing. Would I ever participate - doubtful; but there again, I am part hypocritical, too. LOL!
I've tried on numerous occasions to broach the subject with my children, especially those that have young'ns (best get 'em while they're young when they - the young'ns - don't think twice about it). But I've been only minimally successful at this point - and that doesn't even include actually saying anything about being a nudist.
As far as "coming out" is concerned, or being discovered - well, I was doing my 4am run thru the woods, as I like to do (where it's peaceful, generally dark, and nobody's around except for an occasional vehicle) when I come upon someone taking a stroll. Mind you, I've been doing this for months, and on only one other occasion have I heard voices in the distance (didn't see 'em, but heard them). Well, as I am very nearsighted, and run without my contacts in, needless to say, I didn't see him until I was within 15-20 feet, and then it was kind of late to cover up. Just ran on past, said "Morning" and just glanced back briefly - but I don't think he did the same. I had my running shorts in hand, and kind of in front of me, so it's possible that he didn't think much of it from the frontal approach. Besides, who else would be out at 4-4:30 am, except for lunatics like me, unless they had a lot on their mind. I suspect he was preoccupied (and I assume it was a "he"). That was my first "encounter" if you will.
P.S... CatholicGuy - don't know why, but you strike me as being a Priest - could that be? LOL. Don't know why, but in my mind's eye, when I read your comments, that image/thought jumps out at me! BTW, I've enjoyed your comments, too.

This morning my brother wakes me up and tells me one of my other brothers is her to use the computer. So I put a shirt on and walk out of me room and nearly into my nephew, note I did not say I put on pants or anything other than a shirt.
I was like, "Oh, hi, I did not know you were here." My brother only said that the other brother was here he did not say anything about our nephew. I asked why he did not say anything and he said it was news to him that our nephew was there too. He did not see them come in.

Begs the questions.... was the shirt long "enough", and how old is the nephew? |

I think that's really sad that something as comfortable as sleeping in the buff has to be hidden from other members of the family.

I assume you sleep in the buff and you DON'T try to hide it from your other family members. Do they ever ask you face to face why you participate in such unusual nocturnal activities?
Ok, on the topic of found nude... We just returned from a vacation with our kids. It has become a 'loose' tradition to go skinny dipping in the hotel pools that we stay at, unless there are others around. Once again this year produced another success. After an exhaustive game of Marco Polo, we were having a contest to see who could swim the farthest under water without kicking or paddling. Being the instigator in the family, I made a comment about testing the distance with and without swimsuits. Soon enough we were all naked in the pool, enjoying a few laps without swim suits. We were at the end of our swimming time so it was time for a short walk to the cabana for some dry towels. As a side note, the pool was located behind the hotel with a walking path and lake behind the property. There were about 60-80 rooms that overlook the pool, but the hotel seemed pretty quiet for that time of the evening. Two of us got out and were drying off when my youngest son decided to get out. Once he gets his swim suit off, it's hard to get him to put it back on. He just climbed out of the pool and walked to the cabana butt naked right when a woman came around the corner on the walking path. We laughingly pointed out his perfect timing as he just shrugged his shoulders as said "Oh Well".
We're not a "nudist" family but it sure is nice to be able to change our clothes or change into swimsuits in the same hotel room without embarrassment. Hopefully my kids will continue to grow up without body shame so they don't have to go to the great lengths that I have to compensate for my own discomforts. |

Went on another Ward rafting trip today, quite nice we were attacked less so I got to see more or the scenery. There were four different groups that went down the river at the same time as us in one of them was a family with two little girls, maybe 4 and 6. I did not see much of them until the half point where everyone stopped and got out so some people could body surf the rapids there. It was then that I saw the the two girl were only wearing life jackets and underwear. At first I assumed they has swim suits on complete with tops but upon closer inspection and the removal of the jackets, that was not the case. There was also a French lady there in a string bikini, it was fun to watch the guys try not to look at her.
When I got home I pealed off my clothes, did not bother wearing a swim suit this time, just shirt, bra, and shorts and water shoes and a hat too. Took a shower to rinse off and collapsed on my cool bed to de-sun. Not really but it kind of felt that way, just let the heat and stress soak out of my body, felt great. Spent the rest of the evening totally clothes free. It was a hot hot day. Would have been awesome to have spent the entire day in the nude on the river. Maybe some day. |

I got invited out to a bone fire tonight by some friends, perfect night for it and it was really great, and we all got to talking about random stuff. Random stuff can be very interesting and enlightening, you learn what is on peoples minds.
So any way one guy there just out of the blue, as there was a lull in the talk, said "Being naked in fun, I spent 12 hours straight naked yesterday just for the hack of it." I was like, "You are right, let all see how long we can go with out clothing starting right now!" Yeah, yeah, I wish I could have said that, should have, stupid fear. I did get him to say more about it, was not hard to do as everyone wanted clarification. Yesterday morning he took a shower and as his room mate was gone for a few days, did not bother wearing a towel when he left the bathroom. He intended to go to his room and get dressed but got distracted by first hunger, made and eat breakfast, and then checking his e-mail. He said he got so involved with the stuff on the way to his room that four hours passed and he had forgotten about being naked. So he was about to finally go get dressed when the thought occurred to him "I wonder how long I can actually go without getting dressed, I have nothing to do today." So he went 12 straight clothes free, I envy him, when was the last time I did that?
Then we got on to how long each of us had made it being nude. Mostly an hour or two, I said about 10, that got some interest but the conversation turned before it went anywhere. Someone said that maybe that thought to say naked for as long as possible came from a devil tempting him. Well THAT killed the whole line of conversation for a whole minute until someone said how nice fire is, it is fun to burn stuff.
The fire might still be going now but I had to leave so I could wake up early tomorrow. I will see if I can talk to him more about his naked day and get his thoughts on it; from what I got tonight it was positive. |

| I've wondered about that myself, and there have been a few times when I have tried to go nude for 24 hours straight. I don't think I have ever succeeded, but I've come close a few times, although I've never timed it. But the only time I have ever managed to go even that long sans clothing has been when I had the house completely to myself and didn't need to go anywhere that day. |

Three words: nude raft trip. I've spent nearly five days nude on one. |

Don't know if I should laugh or cry at this. How absurd! The only time in recorded history I know of the devil tempting someone about clothing, he told them to get dressed!!
Other then that, sounds like this 12-hour-naked guy might be worth getting to know. |
