Not a true return and report as it is not a clothes free environment, but it would be great to spend a day there clothes free.

Glen Ivy is a well developed hot springs with hot mineral springs and many man made hot pools. The hot mineral springs are around 104 degrees the water is mixed with cold spring water to get it to that temp as the springs are about 140 with out the mixing. The water is heavy in minerals especially sulfur. It seems to help the old aching bones especially my elbows and shoulders. You can also get all the spa stuff...massages and other treatments.

The main reason I bring this visit up at all is that they have an area called club mud that you smear red clay all over yourself. For the women they recommend you bring an old bikini that you wouldn't mind getting stained by the red clay. The cool thing was my wife with her current body issues stayed in her bikini the whole time we were there even though she brought a one piece to change into after the mud. There is every body type here from way to skinny to the other extreme. I guess it was good for her to see that her scars and 50+ year old wear and tear are no big deal. I hope this is a way to get her thinking that you don't have to look like a movie star to be in few clothes in the proper place. Now just a little further...

By the way this is near Glen Eden Sun Club a nudist resort. Perhaps one day!

Glen Ivy has been trying to go more main stream. From what I have read, the old glen ivy had private sunning bins, a nude deck, and use of the springs sans-clothing wasn't a big deal. But a few years ago they changed ownership, and are trying to become a more commercial destination spa. They opened local Glen Ivy spas in various cities(there used to be one in my town when I lived in CA).

Someone I used to work with in LA told me that there is a undeveloped spring on the other side of the fence from Glen Ivy that you can still use Au-natural.
