I'm not sure what to say. I think we would like to help, but you are laying a pretty heavy problem on us with absolutely no background. If, as you say, nudity is just one of the issues out of many, then I think you need counseling, and not a nudist web site. I'm not sure how you think we can help, other then to give you a virtual pat on the back and say, "Stick with it, buddy. Your marriage is worth it."
The best advice I can give you is to love your wife unconditionally.

I like rwb "rambling stories" Rambling through the coulees of southern Alberta, suntanning and falling in the water. Keep the stories and feelings coming Raven. We love them.
As far as LDSDad goes. If my wife read what you said, she would swear I wrote it. Good luck with what you are going through. I have found that as long as I have stayed true to my testimony and the gospel, put the effort into the things I have to change, things have a way of working out the way Heavenly Father wants them too.

I am all for Raven "rambling" as much as she wants to . I enjoy it quite a bit. She brings such a fresh and feminine perspective to the topics old dudes like me drivel on about.

I agree with Bryan that we don't have a lot of background that we would need in order to be of any help. From what little background you have given us, I must say that it sounds like you have a wonderful wife. No two people are going to see eye to eye on every issue.
I too wish you luck.
Note, RWB, I also enjoy all that you write, the events, the discussions, the dreams, I don't consider any of it rambling. |

| I had no idea until now that there was any kind of controversy about RWB's "rambling," but let me put in my two cents' worth: If that is indeed rambling, then let's say three cheers for rambling -- and to RWB, by all means, keep it up! I usually only visit this site perhaps half a dozen times each month, and I am always disappointed when I login here and there is no new post from her. She is a breath of fresh air, and I enjoy both her perspective and her attitude. |

I don't feel like I am a nudist per se. I don't see myself going out in a public forum and being nude. I feel like I have a natural and not necessarily "normal" attitude toward nudity. I feel like I am nude when it is the time and place for it. and my wife is the same actually just yesterday as she got out of the shower she came down and made us breakfast in the nude it was great. lol but I digress. I feel like Nudity should be a normal thing and I don't feel like it should be something to become obsessed with. I also do not think that your church membership, career, family, and or marriage should be put at risk. That is where I draw the line. I feel like once it reaches that point you have pushed something too far.
This is just my humble opinion and nothing more. |

DavieB--you have given a well thought out statement of your beliefs about nautrism. It is "true" for you and you need to hold fast to that belief. Some may challenge you, but this is what works for you and you stated it in a good way.

| Davie, I completely agree, many of us are not "nudists" per se. It's all about being comfortable in your own skin and drawing the lines where you feel comfortable. I'm sure you can imaging those lines change over time, so go with the flow that works for you. |

I am in the same boat. As I have mentioned recently, I feel that the principles of naturism such as being comfortable in my own skin and not holding any shame towards bodies, either male or female are more important to me than actually being nude. Still, when the time and place call for it, it is great knowing that I can walk around the house without any clothes on and that no one will bat an eye (at least as long as I have the curtains closed). This naked time after a shower is greatly relaxing.
Question for the group: What makes one a nudist/naturist? Is it time spent nude? |

| I think many of us start out like DavieB. I enjoyed nude time hiking alone, jogging alone, and a few experiences in mixed-gender public saunas - but I would have never called myself a nudist/naturist until I found this forum and saw that many others who were doing the same kinds of things as me were calling themselves nudists/naturists. So I owned up to it. Its just a name - there are no requirements. There is probably some guy somewhere who thinks he is a nudist because he showers naked and enjoys it. |
